Astralis are the only team to have achieved four Major titles

Astralis haven’t qualified for the last two Majors of CS:GO. That being said, I think it’s difficult for many to forget just how strong this team used to be. Between 2018 and 2019, the Danish side established something of an era of dominance. They had already achieved a Major title in 2017, but they weren’t the well-oiled machine that they turned into following the addition of Emil "Magisk" Reif. This was the signing that transformed them into an unstoppable Major-winning team. They were able to claim three Major victories in a row, and they ultimately became the team with the most Major titles, as well as the most back-to-back Major titles.

Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen is the only player to attend every Major

“dupreeh” was one of the players on Astralis from the very beginning of their Major success. Having recently turned 30, he is one of the oldest players still competing in the highest tier of Counter-Strike professional play. When CS2 releases in the Summer, “dupreeh” will be the only player who has attended every single Major. This is truly impressive, especially when you take into account the title of second-most appearances is a four-way tie between Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, Richard "shox" Papillon, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, who each have 17 appearances. It would be hard to argue that “dupreeh” isn’t the most decorated Major player in CS:GO.

NAVI are the only organisation to attend every Major

It’s impressive to be the only individual to attend every CS:GO Major, but for those who own teams that compete, their goal is to make sure their teams qualify for Majors. The Ukrainian organisation, NAVI, is the only team to have made an appearance at each one. This is incredible, given the state many teams are currently in. Throughout the history of NAVI, they’ve always had teams that could compete, and players that people still talk about to this day. Yegor "markeloff" Markelov, Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko, Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács, and Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev are just some of the names that have played, or are still playing, on NAVI.

Only one North American team has won a Major

This is one I’m sure Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and “GuardiaN” remember just as much as every North American fan of CS:GO. No one could forget FaZe Clan choking a 15-11 lead in the CS:GO Boston Major Final on Inferno, giving Cloud9 their first Major. This was something truly unexpected, as Cloud9 had started their Legends Stage run 0-2. This win wasn’t just impressive for Cloud9, but also for Tarik "tarik" Celik, who went on to be awarded the Major MVP as an in-game leader. North America had made it to both a Major semi-final and final in the two 2016 Majors, but were beaten both times by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Marcelo "coldzera" David, who went on to win the event.

Peak viewership is 2,748,434 viewers - from PGL Major Stockholm 2021

In 2016, there was a lot of criticism towards CS:GO, with many calling it a “dead game”. This was due to many believing the playerbase was dwindling, and the game would eventually become irrelevant. Fortunately for those of us who stuck with it, they couldn’t have been more wrong. Not only do the viewership figures for Major events keep increasing, but the playerbase continues to peak every few weeks as well. The peak viewership came during the final of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021. This wasn’t beaten at the IEM Rio Major 2022, and I believe this to be due to Outsiders making an unexpected run to the finals, and eventually going on to win the entire tournament. Had it been a team like NAVI or FaZe, the final may have had more hype surrounding it. Due to the Paris Major being the final one in CS:GO, it is expected that the previous viewership figures will be surpassed. Especially if we see a G2 Esports versus Team Vitality final, where “NiKo” and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut would battle it out as two of the greatest players to have never won a Major.
