Pinnacle Fall Series - Regional Swiss stage
16 teams will be competing in the regional Swiss stage of the Pinnacle Fall Series, with eight qualification spots to the main Swiss stage available.
The Regional Swiss stage of the Pinnacle Fall Series #3 will welcome 00Nation to the tournament for the first time. The Brazilian team, who have notable players like Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, Vinicius “v$m” Moreira, and Vito “kNgV-“ Giuseppe, should be one of the favourites to make it out of this stage of the tournament, given the calibre of their players; however, their results from the past three months have been rather disappointing with the team sitting on an abysmal 26.7% win rate.
The second team to watch in the Regional Swiss stage will be 1WIN. The Russian team have been impressive over the past three months, achieving a 70.5% win rate over the period and finishing in the top five in many of the tier-two tournaments that they have competed in. Their success is largely down to their performances on their favourite map picks Dust2, Vertigo, and Nuke, with them having a 70%+ win rate on all three maps.
Pinnacle Fall Series - Main Swiss stage
Lyngby Vikings are making another appearance at the Pinnacle Fall Series and this time they’ll be looking to take the title after falling short of winning the Pinnacle Fall Series #2 tournament, losing to Entropiq in the grand final. The international team have been on the rise throughout 2021 and have earned a spot in the HLTV top 20 off the back of their efforts throughout the year, which has been rewarded with a 74% win rate over the past three months.
Following close behind the Lyngby Vikings are the Finnish team of HAVU, who finished the Pinnacle Fall Series #2 in third place. The team, who were knocked out by Entropiq in the semi-finals of the previous tournament, have had a similar trajectory to the Lyngby Vikings, in that they’ve risen in the HLTV rankings (peaking at #14 in 2021); however, recent results in the past couple of months have seen this ranking fall to #38. Despite their recent form, HAVU should be one of the teams to claim a spot in the playoff stage of the tournament and will then attempt another push for a tournament win at the Pinnacle Fall Series #3.
